Orthodox stance

-Orthodox Stance- (see picture here) For right handed boxers, This stance is when you stand with your left foot forward and your right foot behind, your jab is used with your left hand and your main power punch is your straight right. You keep both your right and left hand at your head at all times(keep the joints of your fingers right under your cheek bones)

Lead Punches (Orthodox)

-Left Jab- (see picture here) An Orthodox Jab is a straight punch with your left hand, This is used to keep your distance or to get close and get off your offence(Lead Punches). After this is thrown bring your hand back to your face.

-Left Hook- (see picture here) This is one of your lead punches, a left hook is when you stand in your boxing stance(Orthodox) you then bend your knees a little and drop your waist, during this youll bring your head and your left hand both to the left(keep both your hands at your cheek bone at all times)you'll then quickly rotate your body(keep your elbow and your ribs at a 90 degree angle)to the right throwing the left hook,After the hook is thrown bring your hand back to your cheeks.

-Left Uppercut- (see picture here) another lead punch, you start out as if you were doing a left hook, bend your knees and waist but still remember to keep your hands at your cheek bones at all times, shift your head to the left and your body downwards just a little but instead of throwing a left hook your going to shoot your left hand straight upwards like your going to punch someone taller then you in the chin. After you throw the punch, bring your hand back to your cheeks.

-Straight Right- (see picture here) This is your main power punch, you'll need to get into your stance, you must twist your upper body to the left making it so your hips and shoulders are facing your opponent, as your doing this you throw you right, after your punch connects(or misses) bring your hand back to your cheeks.

Southpaw Stance

-Southpaw Stance- (see picture here) For left handed boxers, This stance is the opposite to the "Orthodox Stance"  instead of standing with your left foot and left hand forward you stand with your right hand and right foot forward, you throw a right jab and right hook instead of a "left jab" and "left hook", Instead of using a "straight right" as your main power punch youll be using your straight left as your main power punch.

Lead Punches (Southpaw)

-Right Jab- (see picture here) A Southpaw jab has the same consept as the "Orthodox Jab", the only difference is your using your right hand instead of your left, it's still used to keep your distance or to get in close and get off your offence(Lead Punches)

-Right Hook- (see picture here) A left hook has the exect same consept as the left hook, just like the right jab, the only difference is that your throwing with your right hand instead of your left.

-Right Uppercut- (see picture here) The right uppercut still has the same consept as the left uppercut, again the only difference between the right and left uppercut is that your throwing with your left and right hand.

-Straight Left- (see picture here) Still your main power punch, the only difference is that your throwing with your left hand instead of your right hand.
